Troy L Stanfield, Managing Partner

Troy has fifteen years of private equity experience in the lower middle market, with a concentration on consumer products and retail brands.

Prior to founding Stanfield Capital in 2014, Troy was a Partner at Castanea Partners (a firm he joined at its launch in 2002). Castanea Partners is a $600M consumer focused private equity firm based in Newton, MA. During his thirteen years at Castanea, Troy’s experience included twelve closed transactions and significant operating involvement throughout the portfolio.

Prior to joining Castanea, Troy was at Bain & Company where he served clients in the information services, consumer products, and transportation and manufacturing industries. Prior to Bain & Company, Troy was an investment professional at Berkshire Partners where his experience included investment evaluations across a wide spectrum of industries and closed transactions in the business services and consumer products industries.

Troy received his MBA from Harvard Business School and his B.S. in commerce with concentrations in Finance and Management from the University of Virginia.
